中学でブラスバンド部に入って初めて演奏したのが、この「海兵隊賛歌」をトリオに使ったマーチ、「海兵隊マーチ」でした。
しかし調べてみると、アメリカではあまりその行進曲への編曲版は知られていないようです。
毎日新聞の「余録」で取り上げられたのを機会に、歌詞の全訳を載せておこうと思って作ったページです。
