The Pumpkin Pie and the Cinnamon Tea

by Masashi Sada

English translation of the lyrics (not singable)

In the seventeenth building from a crossing on the second street, in two minutes and fifteen seconds if you walk and trot, one hundred and twelve or thirteen steps in average, you’ll reach to a coffee bakery named "Amming".
A thirty-six aged good-natured manager is running it. He is still single, because of his complex character, reserved, shy, and goofy.
His coffee is really good, but girls say the pumpkin pie is excellent here, though we boys hardly agree.
A piece of pumpkin pie and a cup of cinnamon tea with two rose shaped sugar cubes.
If you write three times the name of who you love on the glass saucer by a stick of cinnamon, your wish will be true, girls believe so.

Miss Pumpkin always has a seat on the far side of the rubber tree near the window.
That beauty who is not too tall nor too short, admires us boys.
Surprisingly and bravely, the manager loves her, the Madonna.
We often sneak out the class to watch his goofy and innocent action, but his love doesn’t reach to her at all.
At last he talked to her in only single word because he was shy and goofy, “May I help you?”
Thank to friendship of every day, we boys sneaked out of the class again, and told her his love with a letter on the glass by a cinnamon stick.
However, we got upset and uncomfortable to see her suddenly getting out the shop leaving the manager almost weeping.

Some a while later, thanks the god, he got married.
He never confesses if his wife is Miss Pumpkin, for he has such a character.
There are no changes except that he treats us better than before, and that we had to retake the exam.
We boys are waiting for the next Miss Pumpkin but she hasn’t appeared yet.
Nowadays we feel better the taste of the pumpkin pie a bit.
A piece of pumpkin pie and a cup of cinnamon tea with two rose shaped sugar cubes.
If you write three times the name of who you love on the glass saucer by a stick of cinnamon...
